Quang Nam

120 km of beautiful beaches , small offshore islands, picturesques lakes, tropical forests and archeological wealth

Located equidistant from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Nam Province covers an area of nearly 11,000 sq. km with a population of around 1.4 million. The Province has 120 km of coastline with many beautiful beaches, small offshore islands, six picturesque lakes and tropical forests full of rare and valuable flora and fauna.

This area was the centre of the Cham civilization for many centuries. There are two must-see cultural attractions recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage sites - the ancient trading town of Hoi An and My Son Valley, the spiritual center of the Champa civilization.

During many wars, Quang Nam was one of the cradles of the revolutionary movement. Many former battlefields, the underground tunnels of Ky Anh, and the Ho Chi Minh Trail have become tourist destinations.

The people, who are mostly Kinh and primarily Buddhist, are kind and gentle with a strong heritage. Their hospitality is one of the main reasons why exploring Quang Nam Province is so rewarding.
